31 Ocean Parkway, a prewar, six story elevator building, occupies a premier Brooklyn location just off the southwest corner of Prospect Park. Located on the border of the Kensington, and Windsor Terrace neighborhoods, the building is less than 500 feet to the Ft Hamilton subway station. It contains 84 apartments. The exterior is red brick with stone accents above each window and the main entrance. After passing through the landscaped front yard, the main entrance leads to a large lobby with soaring ceilings and original terrazzo floors. This front façade is generally configured as a north facing capital “E” with a separate elevator servicing each of the building’s three sections.
