Los Alamitos is a quiet residential city in northern Orange County. This small Southern California town is a suburb of its larger neighbor, Los Angeles. With only approximately twelve thousand residents, Los Alamitos has a small-town appeal while still providing all of the benefits of bigger city life which can be found in the surrounding city of Long Beach. The small-town sense of community in Los Alamitos is more than a feeling. Almost everyone in this tight-knit suburb is connected in one way or another as neighbors, friends or through activities in the community. Los Alamitos is close to Interstate 405 and borders Joint Forces Training Base and Airfield. The city also borders part of Long Beach California, Rossmoor, Cypress and Hawaiian Gardens. Located just inland from the coast, residents are also only a short drive from Seal Beach and Sunset Beach. Because of where Los Alamitos is situated, it also has a moderate climate typical to many parts of Orange County.
