Ashwin Veeravalli’s ten-plus years of experience as an entrepreneur in sales, marketing, and negotiation allow him to bring exceptional expertise to The Agency. Ashwin entered real estate with a background in sales, has put together multi-million dollar deals, and is an expert in the negotiation process. Maximizing opportunities, wearing multiple hats (sometimes all at the same time), and being able to think on his feet amidst constant changes allow him to be a successful agent in the competitive Bay Area real estate market.
For Ashwin, getting to know new people and nurturing the friendships he has formed with past clients is his motivation for work: he puts top value on personal connections as the heart of his business. He also brings a deep knowledge of greater Bay Area neighborhoods, local schools, and the housing market. Traveling and living around the world has brought Ashwin an understanding and appreciation for various cultures, allowing him to appreciate various client viewpoints and anticipate needs—an invaluable asset for an agent working in the diverse and globally integrated Bay Area. “We hit home runs because we use our knowledge, expertise, and experience to ensure that our clients' needs and interests are not only met but exceeded,” notes Ashwin.
When Ashwin started his journey as a realtor in the fall of 2012, the real estate market was just recovering from the big housing market fallout. He was a newcomer to the industry, with no existing referral base and entering a market with limited inventory. It was a tough time for seasoned and successful agents—let alone brand-new agents. Despite these challenging circumstances, he describes his starting out experience as not just surviving, but thriving.
"Growing up in a family of entrepreneurs, I had rich experiences fostered by my family’s story of starting and running a string of companies in India, Botswana, South Africa, and the United States," says Ashwin. He started his first business as a 17-year-old high-school senior and never looked back. After moving to the Bay Area in 2007 and falling in love with the place, Ashwin describes it as a location with access to everything—the mountains, hiking, beaches, skiing, the city, and quaint little downtowns. Helping others find their ideal spot here is the reason he does what he does, and his continued success with clients testifies to just that.
