After 27 years with Sotheby's International Realty and more than $3 billion in Hamptons real estate sales, Dana Trotter joined The Agency as a Franchise Partner in 2023 to open its first Hamptons office. Consistently ranked among the top brokers nationwide in the REAL Trends / Wall Street Journal annual rankings, Dana is widely recognized as one of the region's premier luxury real estate professionals.
In the summer of 2023, Dana partnered with Agency Founder and CEO Mauricio Umansky and Tyler Whitman of Bravo's Million Dollar Listing to launch The Agency Hamptons. The Agency-one of the fastest-growing boutique luxury brokerages in the world-has been consistently named the Top Luxury Brokerage by Inman, reflecting the strength of its global brand and market reach.
Dana's career spans luxury residential sales, rentals, investment properties, and land acquisitions. She has successfully negotiated hundreds of transactions and is known for her strategic insight, discretion, and unwavering commitment to client service.
A graduate of C.W. Post with a degree in Business Marketing and Accounting, Dana previously competed professionally in equestrian events in New York and Palm Beach. A lifelong rider and Hampton Classic competitor since age eight, she still rides her horse, Balou, whenever possible. She also serves on the boards of CTREE (Center for Therapeutic Riding on the East End) and the Long Island University Veterinary School.
