Since launching her real estate career more than a decade ago, Katia Bailey, Broker of Record of The Agency Waterloo Region, has successfully managed a real estate team producing over $1 billion in sales and earned a strong contingent of repeat and referral clientele. Katia’s accessibility to her team and clients, expedient work ethic, keen attention to detail and love for the nuanced processes that take place “behind-the-scenes” of every transaction make her an essential resource for clients and fellow agents.
“I’ve been immersed in sales and business development my whole life,” says Katia, who, prior to transitioning to real estate, helped develop her parents’ travel agency. “I grew the business five-fold until it was bought by a competitor who wanted our book of business.” Today, Katia “eats, sleeps and breathes everything real estate.”
Katia is fluent in English and Portuguese. She volunteers with Habitat for Humanity and has plans to devote more time to supporting local animal charities. An admitted workaholic, Katia often spends her free time learning about real estate trends on a global scale, immersing herself in best practices and going beyond what is expected from a traditional broker. “Real estate is my hobby—and when you love what you do, it doesn’t feel like work.”
