Born and raised in Chattanooga, Katie Burrows brings a deep love for her hometown and a lifelong passion for serving others to her real estate career. A graduate of Lookout Valley High School and longtime resident of Lookout Valley, Katie lives there today with her husband, Nick, their two daughters, and their goldendoodle, Nova.
A proud alumna of University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, Katie played four years of basketball for the Lady Mocs before returning to UTC, where she spent 12 years coaching and mentoring student-athletes. Over the course of her coaching career, she developed a strong foundation in leadership, communication, and relationship-building while helping young people achieve both athletic and academic success. A key part of her role involved recruiting prospective student-athletes from across the country, giving her the opportunity to introduce countless families to Chattanooga and all the city has to offer. That experience not only deepened her appreciation for her hometown, but also gives her a unique advantage when helping relocating buyers envision life in Chattanooga. Her background in recruiting also provided hands-on experience with networking, client communication, and digital marketing strategies - skills that translate seamlessly into modern real estate marketing and client service.
Katie also spent the last year working alongside affiliate broker Beth Reed as her Customer Care Specialist, supporting the day-to-day operations of her real estate business while helping create a seamless experience for clients. In that role, Katie worked closely with Gracious Homes clients, coordinating appointments, confirming home selections, and assisting throughout the building process. She also accompanied Beth on listing appointments, gaining firsthand experience in client representation, property marketing, and the details that go into preparing a home for market. The experience provided Katie with a strong foundation in the real estate industry and reinforced her passion for helping people navigate major life transitions with confidence and care.
Deeply rooted in Chattanooga, Katie is passionate about the community she proudly calls home. Most of her family still lives in the area, and she and her husband - the CEO of a local metal fabrication business - chose to raise their family in Chattanooga because of its unique balance of opportunity, culture, and close-knit community.
Outside of real estate, Katie enjoys exploring the city with her family, whether golfing, climbing at High Point Climbing and Fitness, biking along the Riverwalk, discovering local restaurants, or attending live music events. Faith also plays a central role in her life, and she and her husband are active members of Lookout Valley Baptist Church, where they lead a life group for college students and young professionals while Katie also serves in the children's ministry.
At the heart of Katie's work is a genuine desire to serve people well. She believes buying or selling a home is far more than a transaction - it's a deeply personal milestone. Her goal is for every client to feel supported, cared for, and confident throughout the process and long after closing day.
