Kyle has lived on Vancouver Island all his life having grown up in Port McNeil and making his way to the Victoria area in early adulthood. Loving everything about the island lifestyle, he has made himself an integral part of the community. Now he has been in the Victoria area for nearly 20 years and has come to know the area very well, especially Bear Mountain. Kyle and his wife raised their children on the mountain for 8+ years and know every inch of the area intimately. As a committed member of the neighbourhood, Kyle served as a Director of the Bear Mountain Community Association for four years. This gave him indispensable insight and knowledge about the resort community he never knew possible despite having lived on Bear Mountain for many years before becoming a Director.
As an agent, Kyle is known for being extremely detail-oriented and never being content. He is always pushing himself to find new ways to improve and to be the best for his clients. He finds enjoyment in the diversity of his career. No two days are the same. While the days can be long, he never tires of putting in the work for his clients and helping them reach their real estate goals!
When he isn't working, Kyle can be found cheering on, supporting and coaching his children in their various sports, practices and games. He also enjoys all that the island has to offer and heads to the slopes at Mt Washington in the winter and hits Sproat Lake in the summer. One thing you may not know about Kyle is that he has a passion for cooking, his favourite meal to cook is pasta and sauce all from scratch.

Over the last 35 years of our professional careers as university professors, Colleen and I have bought and sold homes in Canada, the US, Australia, and Mexico. Our experiences with the real estate industry were not always to our expectations, regardless of the price of the home or location. Yes, there were some highlights we like to remember and are thankful for, but by large, there seemed to be a lack of time to get to know what we want or to present our house to potential buyers. Our house in Bear Mountain was the only home in our lives we enjoyed for an extensive period. I knew it would be a challenge to sell, considering we bought "high" and made $100,000 improvements to it after the purchase. Our hope was to recover our investment and have enough money to purchase another house in the inflated 2017/18 market. Our first meeting with Kyle was substantially different from our past experiences. Where the difference was that Kyle is a good listener. It was not easy and I am sure there was more work behind the scene, but even only what I saw, was a dedicated professional attending to every detail of the marketing, promoting, and selling process. Our home photos were of the highest quality and appeared in highly regarded real estate publications. There was never a time our house was visited by real estate agents, potential buyers, or by anyone else without Kyle's presence. There was never a time we were not informed and consulted about where we are and where we should aim our efforts. As expected, our home sold on time and for a price we wanted to buyers out of town, who actually never saw the house till after its closing. Kyle assured a smooth transition for both the buyers and sellers in a way that is well above his duties and the industry's expectations.
