Before launching The Schatz-Begg Team with The Agency, he spent 8 years with the Michael Lorber Team at Douglas Elliman, honing his skills in the luxury market. Prior to that, Rueben was a top producer for 13 years with the Gotham Group in New York City, where he specialized in working with high-net-worth investors and raising capital for private equity, private placements, real estate investment trusts (REITs), and other exclusive opportunities.
Before moving to New York, Rueben built a strong foundation in finance while working with major brokers at Smith Barney and Merrill Lynch in Cincinnati, Ohio. His financial savvy, service-driven philosophy, can-do attitude, and passion for networking have always led him to excel.
Originally from Cleveland, Ohio, Rueben is a graduate of the University of Cincinnati with a Bachelor's degree in Finance and a minor in International Business. He is happily married to Rita Hazan, owner and operator of the renowned Rita Hazan Salon in NYC. The couple resides in Manhattan with their son, Sammy.
