After years as a seasoned agent selling in the lux markets of Los Angeles, Santa Barbara, and Montecito, Matan joined The Agency alongside the Grauman Rosenfeld Group to provide his clients with a world-class buying and selling experience.
A native of Los Angeles since the age of 7, Matan came to America from Israel. Seeking better economic opportunities and peaceful life, his family made the move to Los Angeles, where Matan has lived ever since.
Matan jump-started his career as a sophomore in college, obtaining his license at age 19 and serving as a Transaction Coordinator and Executive Assistant to a top producing agent in Santa Barbara. He went on to manage a 74-unit student-housing portfolio and lease over $1M in real estate that same year. By his junior year, he was serving clients in real estate transactions, selling over $10M in real estate as a college student. He also founded and ran a real estate media company.
One of Matan’s greatest points of pride is his involvement in the Jewish community of Los Angeles. He spent his high school years leading several Jewish organizations, including serving as President of BBYO Southern California, a global Jewish leadership organization reaching 70,000 members annually. He is active in the JVS and JFLA organizations, donating 5% of his annual profits to support scholarships and loan programs aimed at uplifting those in need. He actively participates in speaking engagements within these organizations, as well as in the entrepreneurship department of his alma mater at UCSB.
Matan is an avid mountain backpacker and snowboarder. He recently completed a solo backpacking trek through Yosemite, and he plans on completing Torres Del Paine in Patagonia, Chile in 2023.
