Go East Young Man

by | May 22, 2012

I have often been asked the question: What is the best neighborhood in Los Angeles? Being a native Angelino to me the answer to the question is not where is the best place but rather what fits your lifestyle the best and is your living space an extension of your personality. For me, the East side fits the bill.

L.A. is never short on personality, and that’s especially true on the East Side. Many leading architects have designed and built homes throughout the area, providing a diverse selection of architectural styles to choose from. The proximity to the Silver Lake Reservoir, Griffith Park Observatory and the Downtown L.A. skyline create an incredible feel and offer spectacular views of many of the city’s most famous landmarks.

On the East Side there’s something for everyone; so what do you want your life to feel like? Are you a mid-century modern family? Do you have a Spanish heart or are you a Victorian from the past? Maybe you’re a solid Craftsman type or you seek the creative open space of a downtown loft. The East side has it all.

In recent years, the amenities of the city have surpassed anything I ever could have imagined. The additional amount of green space at the Silver Lake Reservoir, as well as its dog park and the jogging path around it, have created an oasis in the middle of the city. The Griffith Park hiking trails make an easy and close get away. Also new bike-friendly roads allow for easy travels around the city.

You are always close to great restaurants, coffee houses and shops. The nightlife is filled with many clubs and galleries creating a vibrant music and art scene that, along with LA LIVE!, will satisfy your every sport and entertainment need.

So whatever your personality, you can create a home that is right for you, tailor a lifestyle that is a perfect fit and find yourself on the East Side where everyday you can practice the art of living well.
