Located at the ground level of the One Bunker Hill office building on 5th Street and Grand Avenue, Bunker Hill Bar & Grill opened less than a year ago, originally catering to the masses of the Financial District’s lunch crowd. It only took a few months before this popular sports-bar-esque eatery attracted foodies from all over town and now hosts one of the most popular 4-7pm Happy Hour scenes in the Financial District of DTLA.

Mini Truffle Burger_2Brought to you by the famous DTLA restaurateurs, M2K (LeKa Restaurant, Wokcano, EMC, and Backhouse, to name just a few), the inviting atmosphere is not only the local suits during lunch and sports fans during the weekends, but it beckons those affluent taste buds with the restaurant’s fine-dining-influences, made tapas-style. Originally known for their high-end pan-Asian flare, these restaurant pros are redefining what bar foods should be.

The popular Truffle Burger was quickly acknowledged as a fan favorite, grilled to perfection over melted cheese and their secret truffle-sauce mix. But burgers aren’t the only thing they’re doing right. The menu offers a laundry list of must-try delicacies, like the Mini Lobster Roll, made on a light roll that is so sweet and fluffy, each bite melting in your mouth (served with an ounce of hot melted butter to drown your roll in). My favorite is the ultimate Fried Pork Belly Taco, seasoned and fried to perfection with just enough bacon, cilantro and BBQ-inspired hot sauce. I wanted more than just a couple.

Baby back ribsDiners can enjoy the DTLA street culture while sitting out on the patio, the perfect way to wrap up your long day at work – and even better accompanied with finger-licking delicious Jalapeño Chicken Wings, the Peking Duck Roll or the Spicy Deluxe Albacore Roll.

Don’t ask the server for menu recommendations, because he won’t be so helpful.

The fully stocked bar offers an array of mixed specialties, all carefully created by an expert mixologist to perfectly accommodate every plate. They also offer a large selection of beers on tap for those who prefer beers with their chicken wings during a Sunday football game. Whatever your heart desires, you can try all day long, from lunch to happy hour to a late dinner. Bunker Hill Bar & Grill offers everything you need for the perfect meal, date, meeting, or game day in the city.
