Our picks of places to go + things to do to make the most out of your November.

DON’T MISS THIS The Rain Room at LACMA, a large-scale light and sound installation created by London-based artist collective Random International, debuts on Nov. 1. Walk through this rain shower without getting wet (unless you walk too quickly as we discovered.) The 2500-square-foot space features sensors to adjust and pause ‘rain’ wherever a human body is detected. Rain Room runs Nov. 1 through Mar. 6. You will need a ticket upgrade ($15) to enter. Reservations and flat shoes are highly encouraged.

IMG_3765SUPPORT THIS → Movember, a cause-driven celebration where men grow mustaches to raise funds and awareness in the fight against disease. Joining the “Mo” community are select members of The Agency who have formed their own team to help in the fight against testicular and other cancers affecting our male population. AND CELEBRATE HERE → Movember’s Sunday Funday takes over the Santa Monica Pier on Nov. 29 with unique activities to celebrate the cause.

GO HERE24th Annual Craftsman Weekend in Pasadena is a tribute to the city’s unique contribution to the American Arts & Crafts Movement. It is the largest and most comprehensive celebration of the craftsman movement in the western US and will feature tours of significant neighborhoods, houses, historic sites, lectures and workshops, plus a sale and show at the convention center. The print edition will be delivered to Times’ Saturday subscribers on Nov. 7.

Expect performances by Meghan Trainor, the Top Hat Dancers and more soon-to-be-announced talents. Plan on attending?  We suggest arriving early and even posting up at one of the restaurants surrounding the tree.
