Off The Menu In L.A.

by | Nov 5, 2015

There’s a new app in town and it’s called Off The Menu, giving foodies access to secret menus at restaurants in 15 cities across North America. We searched the app for our top pick’s from some of our favorite hot-spots around the city.

For pasta lovers: Boa’s Spaghetti & Meatballs, a hefty plate of spaghetti with three house-made meatballs and grated parmesan.

For the hip & health-conscious: Cafe Gratitude’s Powerful Latte, this medicinal drink is a creamy blend of different herbs combined with steamed almond milk, a tablespoon of honey, and finished with a sprinkle of cinnamon.

For the meat lover: Cecconi’s Secret Steak, ask your server about the “secret steak” and chef Andrea Cavalier will select a cut of grass-fed beef from what he has on hand in his kitchen. Served with roasted potatoes, peperonata and a creamy morel sauce.

For those with a sweet tooth: Craig’s Chocolate Pizza, it begins with a perfect pizza crust that is topped with three different kinds of chocolate chips, cookie crumble, and a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

For possible celeb sightings: The Ivy’s Black Pepper Shrimp, if you are a regular, you definitely know about this off the menu favorite. A plate of rice, topped with grilled shrimp cooked in a flavorful black pepper sauce.

For meat & dairy-free eaters: M Cafe’s Vegan Chili Cheese Fries, these fries consist of organic pieces of daiya cheese, sprinkled fresh parsley and a spread of chili beans.

For sushi lovers: Nobu Malibu’s Red Snapper Sushi, with the freshest sushi and the best view, Nobu Malibu never disappoints. Red snapper topped with shiso, lemon juice and sea salt.
