Cinefamily Brings Wine And Outdoor Movie Screenings To Barnsdall Art Park

by | Sep 7, 2016

Tired of the mile-long lines at Cinespia’s Hollywood Forever Cemetery movie screenings but still a glutton for a picnic and a flick? Cinefamily has partnered with Barnsdall Art Park Foundation and will be kicking off a new wine and movie fundraising series that most people might not know about just yet. Starting Labor Day weekend, al fresco film lovers can head to the west lawn of the Frank Lloyd Wright-designed Hollyhock House in Barnsdall Art Park for a night of food, wine and cinema. Each night kicks off with a picnic, live music and wine tasting and culminates in a movie screening at sundown. Don’t expect your typical blockbuster lineup here, though. Cinefamily is known for erring on the foreign and experimental side, and already-announced screenings include a mashup of rare David Bowie footage and Francois Truffaut’s New Wave classic, Jules and Jim.

Events start at 5:30pm. Tickets are $25 each and available on the Cinefamily website.
