The Liddel Brings Unique Modernist Living To The Wilshire Corridor

by | Oct 24, 2016

The latest residential offering to grace the Wilshire Corridor, The Liddel, uses bold, creative design to elevate the living experience, showcasing a unique integration of classic sophistication and contemporary vision. The Liddel features a collection of 56 residences and private amenity offerings designed to inspire engagement between residents and within the Westwood neighborhood.

“From the moment of arrival you sort of get the idea that this is going to be a different experience,” says interior architect, Jamie Bush, who was commissioned by visionary developer Palisades to design the numerous gathering spaces at The Liddel. “There are a lot of natural textures, patterns and movement that set an architectural rhythm, but there’s also an understated aspect to the design. We wanted to embody the spirit and vitality of a sophisticated, yet casually Californian model of living.”

The Liddel features a range of flexible floor plans, from sleek, 1,030-square-foot, one-bedroom residences to spectacular, three-bedroom, 2,700-square-foot penthouses with private rooftop terraces. Each has been thoughtfully designed to provide a clean, open canvas with crisp, contemporary lines, European-inspired kitchens, stainless steel appliances and a unique balance of authentic, organic materials and colorful, contemporary accents.

The common areas were designed to encourage gathering, entertaining and relaxation while connecting seamlessly to the outdoors. Amenities include a welcoming Entry Salon, Club Lounge with bar and fireplace, casual residents’ Den, Private Dining Room, Catering Kitchen, Rooftop Terrace and Fitness Studio. Designed with the wine connoisseur in mind, a stunning Wine Room boasts ebonized oak walls, brass accents and aubergine tiles, where residents may enjoy tastings from their personal collection.

“There are moments of surprise and delight that enliven the spaces, but there is also a sense of approachability,” Bush explains. “We’re inviting life into the building by creating spaces you won’t just pass through; you’ll want to spend time there.”

Residents also enjoy a highly serviced lifestyle, including 24-hour concierge, valet parking in the private, cobblestone motor court and camera monitored, key FOB elevator access. Each residence is provided with a bike for enjoying car-less travel to nearby shopping, dining, Runyon Canyon Park, the Los Angeles Country Club, UCLA and the Westwood Village Farmer’s Market.
