The scaffolding is down, and the exterior of the newest gleaming residential building to grace the Wilshire Corridor has been revealed. The Liddel is quickly taking shape, bringing a contemporary living experience and innovative modern design to L.A.’s “Golden Mile.” Featuring a collection of 56 residences and a host of private amenity offerings, The Liddel interiors are nearing completion, designed to bring a singular, contemporary design aesthetic to the more classically styled Wilshire Corridor neighborhood.
Common areas at The Liddel were designed by renowned interior architect Jamie Bush, who has long been acclaimed for his holistic approach to design. At The Liddel, Jamie says they wanted to appeal to a broader audience by acknowledging the design savvy of their clients and evoking a casually Californian style of modernist living.
"Los Angeles offers a youthful, exuberant, fresh and casual environment. We want to create that by infusing a lot of color and curvaceous forms, to make it a bit more live, energetic and playful, but still sophisticated,” Jamie told Mansion Global earlier this year.
The amenity spaces showcase his adventurous design spirit, including the inviting lobby and entry salon, the club lounge with exquisite bar and fireplace, the wine room with ebonized oak walls and aubergine tiles, the stunning rooftop terrace, and the garden lounge, which draws in the outdoors.
The Liddel offers a range of floor plans, from 1,030-square-foot, one-bedroom homes to magnificent, three-bedroom, 2,700-square-foot penthouses with private rooftop terraces. Each has been thoughtfully designed with highly curated design details, including wide plank, white oak floors, custom Atelier de Troupe light fixtures and European-style kitchens. Residents also enjoy effortless, turnkey ownership with services including 24-hour concierge, valet, and key FOB elevator access, while each residence is provided with a bike for car-less travel throughout the neighborhood.
