Billy Rose and Mauricio Umansky Selected As EY Entrepreneur of the Year® Semifinalists

by | Apr 4, 2018

The Agency is proud to announce that Billy Rose and Mauricio Umansky have been selected as semifinalists in the EY Entrepreneur Of The Year® 2018 program in Greater Los Angeles.

This is the founders’ second semifinalist selection in a row—no small feat considering EY is widely recognized as one of the most prestigious business awards programs in the world. Now in its 32nd year, the program honors the most innovative entrepreneurs in more than 60 countries. “These honorees not only create and build market-leading businesses,” writes EY, “but also help take the standard of excellence to new heights, transform the face of the industry, create jobs and contribute to the vibrancy of communities.”

“When Mauricio and I founded The Agency we set out to do things differently; to create an industry-disrupting brokerage where innovation and collaboration took precedent,” says Billy. “It’s an honor to be in the company of some of the world’s most innovative entrepreneurs and be recognized for the very things which we set out to achieve from the beginning.”

Adds Mauricio, “It’s our culture that sets The Agency apart; it’s our commitment to collaboration, the talent of The Agency Creates and the strength of our custom technology that have distinguished The Agency as an industry trailblazer. Billy and I are proud to represent that achievement, but it’s by virtue of the strength of our team as a whole that we earned this recognition.”

Finalists will be announced Monday, May 14, and winners will be revealed at a black-tie awards gala on Thursday, June 14 at The Beverly Hilton hotel in Beverly Hills, California.
