The Wall Street Journal recently featured One&Only Mandarina Private Homes along with one of its founding homeowners, San Francisco Giants pitcher Mark Melancon. As long-time admirers of the One&Only experience, the Melancons jumped at the opportunity to be among the first to own a piece of the One&Only lifestyle, purchasing a 19,000-square-foot oceanside villa at Mandarina. With Melancon’s busy schedule keeping him from visiting the site, the Mandarina team flew to California to recreate the floor plan on Melancon’s home field at Oracle Park. The Mandarina team marked the outlines of the rooms on the outfield grass so Melancon and his wife could “walk” through the near-finalized design. Once completed, the villa will feature eight bedrooms, a game room, two swimming pools, a fitness studio and a wine cellar. The Melancon’s villa is one of 55 in the One&Only Mandarina Private Homes collection, neighboring the new One&Only Mandarina resort. As Melancon told the WSJ, his wife fell in love with One&Only on a family trip to the Bahamas as a child. She also included a stay at one of their hotels on their wedding bucket list, but owning a home at one of their resorts proved an even better option.
