On a warm summer night in June, The Agency marked the debut of The Lofts Newport Beach, a new live/work residential offering consisting of only two mixed-use luxury homes designed by Orange County’s award-winning Brandon Architects. The lofts, aptly named Surfside and Bayside, offer approximately 1,000 square feet of ground-floor commercial space and 2,300 square feet of contemporary residential living space, fusing the utility of a SoHo loft with the breezy seaside lifestyle that gives Newport Beach its worldwide appeal.

“The Lofts are spearheading the revival of live/work development in this vibrant neighborhood and represent the finest mixed-use product in well over a decade,” says Andrew McDonald, who represents the project along with agents Linda Chan and Sana Amarith. “This area of Newport, called Lido Marina-Cannery Village, is very trendy and flourishing with new shopping, dining and waterfront destinations—and now, the word is out.”

The evening’s relaxed, seaside-inspired festivities took place at the Surfside loft, where guests were greeted by 2019 Aston Martins in pepper red and sky blue. Inside, they passed through the office space and upstairs to the residence, with a chef’s kitchen and glass-enclosed balcony, where kombucha and cold local craft brews were served alongside champagne. On the upper level balcony, guests sipped their drinks and mingled until sunset, listening to mellow beats from Nobu’s resident DJ, Josh One. A built-in fire pit kept things cozy long after the stars came out.

During the evening fiesta, everyone was encouraged to explore the home’s unique multi-purpose layout, complete with three bedrooms, five baths, wide-plank white oak floors and (of course) lounge-ready balconies. View more images of the event below.

“The Lofts themselves elevate the coastal urban lifestyle of Newport Beach” says Linda. “Each offers light-filled living spaces with sleek lines and expansive windows opening to the ocean breezes, really capturing the essence of what this area has to offer.”

“The location can’t be beat for the aspiring entrepreneur,” adds Sana. “Situated between Newport Bay and Newport Beach at the entrance of the Balboa Peninsula, both lofts offer unmatched accessibility for both work and play.”

Within moments from home is the posh new Lido House Hotel and freshly renovated Marina Park, which has a sailing and community center and a bay-side park. John Wayne Airport, The Irvine Business District and world-class shopping at South Coast Plaza and Fashion Island are all a short drive away.
