Brentwood’s brightest new listing is fast becoming Hollywood’s new place to see and be seen. On a recent, clear-skied summer evening, the magnificent 12255 Sky Lane yet again provided the perfect backdrop for an elegant event, this time showcasing some of the most enviable new automobiles from Galpin Aston Martin and Malibu Autobahn on the home’s sprawling rooftop motor court.
Represented by Mauricio Umanksy and Santiago Arana, the estate showcases masterful modern architecture by the world-renowned Sanam de Loren of de Loren & Associates and sweeping views of the city that reach from the Downtown L.A. skyline to the Pacific.
Upon arrival, more than 300 guests were greeted with traditional cups of Soto Sake before making their way through the $42 million dollar home, stopping in the curved open living room to enjoy freshly made sushi rolls from DCLA, Gem & Bolt mezcal cocktails and “The Getty” lychee martinis made with VDKA 6100 (and named for the nearby art museum) before heading out to the 10,000-square-foot backyard. There, they took in the extraordinary view as DJ Cathy Michele crafted cool background beats.
Throughout the evening, guests toured the 16,700-square-foot estate, enjoying a first look at the incredible amenities, including a 650-bottle wine cellar, 13-seat theater, gym, sauna, three custom-designed bars and a professional Gaggenau kitchen.
The six Aston Martins sat inside the home’s open-air garage and atop the rooftop motor court—which can double as an auto gallery for more than 20 vehicles. As the sun went down, guests finished their “Gettys” and enjoyed refreshing, chilled Bubbies Mochis.
Sky Lane recently served as an incredible venue for two star-studded events, including the launch of Val Kilmer’s new charity, the TwainMania Foundation and AdoptTogether, the world’s largest crowdfunding platform for adoption.
