Our picks of places to go and things to do to make the most of your month in and around Palm Springs.
SIP SOME BEER HERE - On August 3 and 4th from noon to 3pm, the 8th Annual Craft Beer Weekend at the Ace Hotel will offer beers from more than 30 breweries from around the country, including Russian River Brewing Company, Brooklyn’s Grimm Artisanal Ales and L.A.’s Mumford Brewing. Sample dozens of beers, snack on fried chicken with hot pineapple glaze and meet microbrewers and cask masters who love hops (almost) as much as you do.
SNACK, DRINK, REPEAT - Eat, drink and benefit a cause too! Enjoy Rancho Mirage’s 2019 Taste of Summer by stopping by a number of participating Rancho Mirage restaurants and resorts now until August 18 to get special $4 appetizers, desserts and drinks. Plus, this program’s proceeds benefit Coachella Valley charities and the local chamber of commerce.
THE ULTIMATE POOL PARTY - Spread across a trio of top hotels and resorts August 9-11, a ticket to Splash House gets you admission to beats-heavy performances from top artists like Hippie Sabotage and Toro y Moi at The Saguaro, The Riviera and The Renaissance, plus shuttle service that runs between the venues all weekend. Spring for a hotel package to enjoy a room steps away from the stage.
FOR A FAMILY-FRIENDLY NIGHT OUT - Enjoy the warm summer night at a screening of Aquaman at the “Dive-In” Family Film Series at the Palm Springs Swim Center on Saturday, August 17. Admission is $2 for children ages 4-12, $4 for adults and $10 for a family of four. Doors open at 6:30 and the film starts at sunset.
