L.A. Biz Names The Agency’s Michelle Schwartz a Woman of Influence

by | Oct 7, 2019

The Agency is proud to announce that Michelle Schwartz, a founding member of the company and Managing Partner of the Sherman Oaks and Calabasas offices, has been selected by L.A. Biz as a Women of Influence honoree. From a prestigious pool of 200 nominees, Michelle is one of only 27 local women selected for this honor, a group that includes Google partner Dianne Hackett and Melissa Lintinger, Vice President of NBC Universal.

L.A. Biz’s Women of Influence spotlights business leaders who “innovate, succeed and pay it forward,” according to the publication. The nominees must stand out for their achievements in their respective industries as well as their commitment to community and mentoring.

Michelle’s uniquely enthusiastic approach to clients and sterling reputation in the real estate realm make her ideally suited for this recognition.

Over the last decade, Michelle has consistently doubled her real estate business year over year, and most recently ranked as #189 in all of California and #429 in the country, based on sales volume, by The Wall Street Journal’s REAL Trends “The Thousand.” Michelle’s total sales volume for 2018 was $59,673,000 and she has played an integral role in several notable transactions, including the record-breaking sale of 3737 Oakfield Drive in Sherman Oaks. Prior to practicing real estate, Michelle owned her own marketing and public relations firm, which counted several Fortune 500 companies among its clients—including Reebok, Disney, Bank of America, and ESPN.

“In my short time as an agent, my business has grown organically,” says Michelle. “Using the skill set I brought with me from running my own PR and marketing company, I have made customer service my differentiating factor and the focal point of my business model as a realtor.” In addition to stellar client service, Michelle is active in coordinating special projects at her children’s LAUSD school by means of sponsorships and donations. As a child, Michelle spent time at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles and continues to support its work.

This is not the first time Michelle’s professional prowess has garnered recognition. In 2016, she was nominated by Inman News as the “Most Innovative Agent,” and in 2017, she was awarded MVP for The Agency’s Sherman Oaks office.

“I love what I do, and I am loud and proud,” says Michelle. “I think part of my success lies in the fact that I continue to modify and take chances in my field—whether that means trying new tactics in advertising or social media or making bold marketing decisions. I am not afraid to step out of the box. After all, if there’s no risk, there’s no reward.”

Michelle and the rest of her fellow nominees will be honored at an event hosted by L.A. Biz on November 14.
