Several members of The Agency Seattle came together to host a fundraising event spotlighting Baller Dream Foundation, which provides support to children and young adults battling cancer with the goal of alleviating stressors they and their families encounter throughout treatment.
The Agency Seattle’s Managing Partner, Jen Cameron, local agents James Campbell, Susan Culverhouse and other members of the community were in attendance at the event, which took place at the Luxury Rainier Square Residences in downtown Seattle. The gathering raised awareness as well as funds while honoring Veronica Calhoun, a talented guitarist and singer who performed a live rendition of Vance Joy’s “Riptide” for the audience.

After performing, Veronica, an 18-year-old battling brain cancer, was presented with several gifts that matched her passions in life, which include theater and improv performances. Founded in New York in 2018, Baller Dream Foundation refers to those they support as, “Ballers,” a modern-day-term for someone living their best life. “Baller” Haibo Ma was flown in from Los Angeles for the event and shared his ongoing experience with the foundation and the impact it has had in his life.
“When my friend and colleague Wendy Walker from The Agency Scottsdale reached out to introduce me to Frank Deblasi, founder of Baller Dream Foundation, I of course was eager to take the meeting,” said Jen. “When my best friend Kari was going through brain cancer treatment I felt helpless and immediately wanted to help in any way that I could. Hearing Frank’s mission and helping to launch the foundation here in Seattle gave me a way to honor Kari.”

The intimate crowd of 50 attendees enjoyed light fare and refreshments from local vendors such as Fonte Bar, Ghostfish Brewery and Sleight of Hand Cellars. Guests included professionals from Boeing and Seattle Children’s Hospital.
