The Agency And Giveback Homes Revitalize A Home In Los Angeles

by | Oct 8, 2015

This past week, The Agency and Giveback Homes partnered with Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles for a build day in the Watts neighborhood of L.A. The Agency’s Mauricio Umansky, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, and Giveback Homes Founder, Blake Andrews, worked to put finishing touches on the Lowery family’s home.

The Agency, housewives, Giveback Homes and Habitat for Humanity team spent the day revitalizing the exterior with new paint, adding a beautiful dark grey trim and lighter grey on the main panels. Prior to our build day, Lowe’s delivered drought resistant landscaping. The home, owned by Mr. Lowery, was originally built by Habitat for Humanity Los Angeles in 1993, a couple of years before the Jimmy Carter Work Project came into the neighborhood.  The home inspired others in the area to apply for Habitat homes. Several volunteers helped build the Lowery’s original home, many of whom are still volunteering with Habitat LA. today.

About 20 other homes in the neighborhood were part of this revitalization project.
