An Evening at Chantilly Road: Inside the Epic $35M Bel-Air Estate

by | Apr 5, 2023

At a recent invite-only VIP event, a select number of guests were privy to a special look inside 1116 Chantilly Road, a scene-stealing 18,500-square-foot Bel-Air estate listed at $35.68M and designed by cinematographer-turned-developer, Adrian Rudomin and his son Diego.

During the twilight gathering, guests enjoyed light hors-d’oeuvres, cocktails and music from DJ Mere Bear as they toured the spectacular, ultra-private hillside home, taking in countless jaw-dropping features as well as lush views of the neighborhood’s surrounding treetops and verdant valley below.

The Agency’s Co-Founder and Vice Chairman Billy Rose was in attendance, alongside more than 300 agents, including The Umansky Team, Blair Chang, Santiago Arana’s team and Dennis Chernov, as well as Adrian Rudomin, who helped lead guests through the estate. The listing is represented by The Agency’s Marco Rufo and Farah Levi alongside Sally Forster Jones (SFJ Group) with Compass, who sponsored the event in partnership with Porsche Downtown LA. In addition, real estate finance firm Fund.me provided co-GP capital for the show-stopping estate’s reimagining.

“This beautiful project reflects Fund.me’s mission to widen access to capital opportunities in the U.S. housing market,” says Manly Danh, Founder and CEO of Fund.me. “As a provider of solutions across the real estate capital stack, we have the unique opportunity to partner with accomplished designers and home builders like Adrian and Diego, giving them the speed and flexibility required to successfully navigate the current market. In this case, their companies’ exceptional track record made us confident that a project of this magnitude would be executed at the highest level. The result speaks for itself.”

As co-founders of luxury home development companies The Kraken and Leviathan, Adrian and Diego have endeavored to create modern luxury homes that defy the norm—eschewing boxy lines and space-compressing all-white aesthetics in favor of texture-rich materials, bold, inviting colors and incredibly thoughtful design details. Having piqued the interest of design lovers and national publications alike—including The Wall Street Journal and Robb Report—1116 Chantilly Road is a shining example of the Rudomins’ dramatically different point of view.
