The annual list represents a unique look at the most successful companies within the American economy’s most dynamic segment—its independent small businesses.
“We are so proud to be featured once again on this prestigious list,” says The Agency Founder and CEO Mauricio Umansky. “We’ve been honored to rank on the list for five of the nine years we’ve been in business, which is a testament to the team of incredible people we get to work with on a daily basis.”
“When we founded The Agency, we wanted to create a place where people could collaborate, grow their business, and truly enjoy coming to work every day,” says Founder and President Billy Rose. “Ranking on this list for the fifth year inspires us to keep growing, expanding and finding new ways to advance the business of real estate, for our clients and our fellow agents.”
Not only have the companies on the 2020 Inc. 5000 been very competitive within their markets, but the list as a whole shows staggering growth compared with prior lists as well, Inc. 5000 reports. The Inc. 5000’s aggregate revenue was $209 billion in 2019, accounting for over 1 million jobs over the past three years. Among the elite group of companies that gained their first national exposure as honorees were Microsoft, Patagonia, Intuit, Oracle, Chobani and Zappos.com.
“The companies on this year’s Inc. 5000 come from nearly every realm of business,” says Inc. editor-in-chief Scott Omelianuk. “From health and software to media and hospitality, the 2020 list proves that no matter the sector, incredible growth is based on the foundations of tenacity and opportunism.”
