by | Apr 12, 2023

The Agency Aspen and The Agency Denver turned up the heat with a recent celebration of British photographer and philanthropist David Yarrow at The Snow Lodge Aspen at The St. Regis. Guests of the event enjoyed an intimate meet and greet with the artist himself, who shared his “behind the lens” perspective and expounded on his passion for the art of photography. An exclusive preview of David’s most recent series, titled The Wild West | Aspen, was on display, courtesy of CASTERLINE|GOODMAN GALLERY. The Agency’s Aspen and Denver locations are devoted fans of David’s work—both have photos from his past collections front and center in their offices.

Attendees toasted with specialty cocktails by event partner, Casa Del Sol Tequila, and included The Agency’s Founder and CEO, Mauricio Umansky, The Agency Aspen’s Managing Partners, Heather Sinclair and Chris Flynn, as well as The Agency Denver’s Managing Partner,  Kacey Bingham. Zar Zanganeh, Wendy Walker and The Agency VP of Vibes, Makenzie Green were also in attendance

Philanthropy and giving back are central tenets to David. Since 2018, his work has raised over $11M for philanthropic and conservation organizations. In 2021, his collaboration with Cindy Crawford raised over $3M for the UW Health Kids Cancer Care Charity. In 2020, he launched the #KoalaComeback Campaign to support the wildfire recovery efforts in Australia. The campaign raised over $1.4M and after the outbreak of COVID-19, he helped raise over £1M for the NHS by releasing a charity print, “Our Pride” with all proceeds going to HEROES.

“I have loved David’s work from the first moment I saw it on display here in Aspen,” says Mauricio. “I am awed by his artistic talents as well as his incredible philanthropic efforts. This is a man who makes a difference. It’s inspiring to see and I feel honored The Agency had an opportunity to support his work.”

“David is such a talented photographer. I personally love his point of view,” says Heather Sinclair, Managing Partner of The Agency Aspen. “His images are able to capture Aspen’s iconic lifestyle, small-town charm, awe-inspiring natural beauty and outdoor adventure. I’m so thrilled we were able to be part of this event.”

The Agency Denver’s Managing Partner, Kacey Bingham, echoed her admiration for the artist. “It’s easy to support an artist like David. He’s a true talent in the photography field, but he also makes such a difference in the world. Looking at all that he does inspires me to look at the world with more wonder and to give back wherever I can.”

Today, David holds a number of ambassadorships for charitable organizations including: The African Community and Conservation Foundation, Tusk, WildArk, The Kevin Richardson Foundation and Best Buddies.

“David’s bold ideas and ability to continue to push the envelope on creating fearless and striking new work, is very much reflected in this series,” says Jordan Goodman, co-owner, CASTERLINE|GOODMAN GALLERY“His adventurous spirit is the perfect match for Aspen. David’s ability to capture the enchantment of Aspen—from its bohemian spirit to its fabled history— shines bright in this series, which we are honored to share with our community and collectors.”
