by | Jan 31, 2024

From exclusive open houses to industry conferences and intimate gatherings, last week was a whirlwind of excitement for The Agency in New York City. With Mauricio Umansky and Rainy Hake Austin in town to kick off the year, here is a look into some of the top events that kept our team buzzing. Watch the video below for a special message from Mauricio and Rainy—straight from NYC.

The week started with an exclusive event at 24 Leonard St’s Penthouse, where Mauricio, Managing Partners and agents from around the globe explored this glamorous listing now on the market for $38,000,000 with Andrew Azoulay of The Agency New York. While exploring the over 7,000-square-foot residence in the heart of Tribeca, guests sipped Via Carota’s signature cocktails and enjoyed light sushi bites as the sun set over the Hudson.

Following this evening kick-off, Rainy and Mauricio graced our NYC’s HQ’s presence to inaugurate the first sales meeting of the year, setting the tone for an inspiring office gathering. Joined by Molly Townsend, SVP Managing Partner Tristate, and esteemed members of our NY Management team, including Susan Fishman and Kim Schirali, the stage was set for an engaging morning. One of the highlights was a panel discussion focused on Creating a Luxury Experience for our Clients. Moderated by Rainy, Ashlie Roberson and Andrew Azoulay from the New York office, as well as Joy Vance and Wendy Walker representing Montana and Arizona respectively, the panel delved into strategies for elevating client experiences. Amidst the bustling energy of New York, attendees were treated to a sumptuous breakfast spread and delectable custom “Agency branded” bread from Breads Bakery. Additionally, Luxury Presence showcased its agent website capabilities, offering valuable insights and solutions for our agents to enhance their online presence and branding.

Following an engaging panel discussion about marketing strategies for 2024 led by our very own Lesley Stern, Director of Agent Marketing, attendees sat down to an intimate Domicile presentation led by Ed Fitz, Founding Partner of The Agency and creator of Domicile: Game of Homes. This new platform designed for everyone from casual real estate enthusiasts to seasoned professionals offers a unique opportunity to test property pricing knowledge in a fun and interactive way.

The momentum continued at Inman Connect NY, where Rainy discussed scaling brokerages and strategic growth on stage amongst other brokerage leaders. Meanwhile, Mauricio shared insights on the future of the industry during his session with Brad Inman, addressing challenges and opportunities in the industry. Alexia Umansky also joined a panel to discuss social media and PR trends for 2024. A key theme of authenticity was present across the board.

The Agency New York’s Mike Biryla hosted an exclusive open house at 301 West 57th Street #51-BCD for an afternoon of sophistication and grandeur in one of the most coveted addresses in the world.

Situated in the heart of Manhattan, attendees were treated to an unparalleled view overlooking Billionaires’ Row as they explored this luxurious property. From elegant interiors to breathtaking views of the city skyline, guests indulged in champagne and delectable bites.

Later that evening, The Agency Turks & Caicos, Bahamas, and Cayman Islands hosted a vibrant Caribbean pop-up, where agents and clients mingled over island-style cocktails, delectable bites, and an insightful series of panels with leading experts who flew in from all around the world for the event.
