Spring is in the air, and The Agency is in the headlines. From exciting new listings and news of our expanding footprint to sage advice from our executives and continuing love for our Netflix series “Buying Beverly Hills,” here’s a look at our top stories from the last month. 

 

National 

Mauricio Umansky, Founder & CEO of The Agency, graced the cover of the latest issue of Pickleball Magazine. In the feature story, Mauricio discusses how the rising popularity of the sport continues to reshape the luxury residential market, making a pickleball court one of today’s most sought-after amenities. Business Traveler Magazine featured an excerpt from Mauricio Umansky’s upcoming book, “The Dealmaker.” In the preview, Mauricio outlines the importance of treating everyone he meets not only with respect and curiosity, but like a VIP. That signature boutique approach to daily interactions has laid the foundation for The Agency’s success.

Tennessee

In a piece for Nashville Business Journal, Managing Partner Scott Coggins gave his hot take on what’s ahead for the city’s luxury housing market, including the fastest-growing communities and what impact California transplants are having on demand. 

 

Florida

In a cover story for The Boca Raton Observer, Mauricio Umansky touched on everything from the start of his career in real estate and early days in reality television to the shifting landscape of today’s real estate market, including how other markets are “giving L.A. a run for its money.” 

South Florida Agent Magazine reported that The Agency has continued to expand its footprint and officially set down roots in Palm Beach. The new office will be led by Principal Santiago Arana alongside Mauricio Umansky, Brian Fairweather Jr and Howard Elfman.

DC Metro

U.S. News & World Report named The Agency D.C. Metro – headed by Nurit Coombe and Alex Martinez — as the #3 real estate company in Maryland. 

 

Colorado

Heather Sinclair’s Aspen listing made its debut in Mansion Global. The beautiful mountain retreat – which is only three miles from downtown — rests on 1.41 acres “minutes away from some of the world’s best hiking, biking and snowmobiling trails” and features a stately main residence, detached guest house, entertaining-friendly layout, home spa and detached guest house. 

Every experienced agent has some stories from their time in the trenches. Scott McManaway of The Agency Denver shared one of his with The Wall Street Journal, recalling a transaction that began with a strange request and ended with a visit to his clients behind bars to close the deal. The Denver Post recapped February sales, with some valuable insight from Olivia Merrill and Anna Centron of The Agency Denver. Noting that Denver’s market typically sees a slowdown from February to May and this year is no exception, the limited inventory has pushed buyers into bidding wars not seen since 2021. “Buyers are jumping!” says Anna. 

 

New York

Managing Directors of The Agency South Shore Nicholas Camapasano and Ricardo Pena made the cover of Behind The Hedges. The feature story chronicled The Agency’s expanding presence in Long Island, after the extremely successful opening of the North Shore office in 2021. “As we get bigger, we know how important it is to maintain the boutique family feel…And we recognize our obligation to serve the local community,” noted Don Mastroianni.  

Forbes featured Andrew Pritchard and Aaron Seawood’s rare penthouse listing at 50 Madison Avenue. Not only is the residence a duplex, occupying two floors, but it also includes numerous pieces of furniture from Gianni Versace’s personal collection. View the photos here

 

Canada

Paige Cyr and Corey Cyr have joined forces to lead The Agency Fort McMurray, as reported in  Real Estate News. This marks The Agency’s 15th office in Canada. “I am thrilled to be leading a team in one of the most special markets in the country,” says Corey. 

Carlos Clavero, Christina Clavero and David Bakowsky‘s stunning Lake Ontario listing was just featured in Mansion Global. The estate features 100 feet of water frontage, a private dock, stunning views of the water, and 12,000 square feet of pristinely renovated living space. “This property is completely turn-key and can even be purchased fully furnished,” Christina is quoted in the story. 

The Agency unveiled its second Canadian office in the span of one month, reported Storeys. Located in Toronto’s West End, the office will be led by Katia Bailey, Steve Bailey, Paul Greenberg and Matt Lionetti. “[They’re] authorities in this market, offering unparalleled professionalism and expertise,” noted Mauricio Umansky.  

 

California

Marc Victor joined Good Morning Sacramento to explain recent trends in the real estate market, share advice for new and prospective, and clue sellers in on key strategies that will help them earn top dollar for their homes. Watch the segment here

Spain

Alby Euesden and Trevor Panton‘s gorgeous new modern Mediterranean listing in Mallorca, Spain was recently featured in Mansion Global, highlighting the property’s incredible amenities as one of the last properties of its kind on the island. “The large piece of rustic land that the estate is situated on is in the middle of a mainly residential neighborhood… [and] also features a 25-meter swimming pool,” Alby explains in the piece.
